A Hare's Dream

Yes, that is the title of my new short film starring Hoskins the Hare. The Plot is about a Hare named Hoskins, who loves the ocean and interacting with the animals there, but is stuck in ordinary life called suburbia. This is a personal film because it deals with passions and dreams. Currently, I am working on the storyboards which is a very long process. I expect the film to be done over the end of summer, which is my goal. I am practicing my deadline skills by getting things done at a specific amount of time. For instance, I plan to finish the storyboards by the end of my school year. It will help me practice for Calarts, because there you have a film that is due towards the end of the year. I am really excited for this film, and can't wait to see it all finished!

The Ratty Rat Gang

Part of a vicious gang called, "The Ratty Rats". The leader is Snarlz, responsible for doing evil. The Sidekick is Scrum, a vicious fellow with a bad temper and a sharp tongue The Goon is Spitz, a quiet fellow, who can be deceiving. After my film is done, and I have some time on my hands, I will be making lots of short stories with these characters. It will be like an animated tv show, but instead of full animation, it will be very clean animatics with dialogue, and sound fx. I can't wait, there are lots of stories to tell.

New Storyboard

A Storyboard Sketch for my upcoming Film that I quickly splashed color over. The Bunny's name is "Hoskins", a tribute to "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" star Bob Hoskins, who recently passed away. The coloring of the rabbit isn't the final color design. I will have him looking like the last Hoskins Post I did.

Film Progress Report

For you who don't know, I am working on a short film right now. It will be called, "In a Low Tide", as you may of guessed, the story takes place in the ocean. The art direction in the film will be very unique. I will be taking my rough animation, rubbing them down with a kneaded eraser, and LIGHTLY color the roughs with color pencil. The film's style will be inspired by Nick Jenning's paintings from Spongebob, which inspired me so much. I will be posting my progress as time goes on with storyboards, pencil tests, etc. At the moment I am working on the storyboards and will have them posted up shortly.:)
